Featured in Baltic Outlook magazine
The September issue of Air Baltic on-board magazine spotlighted Lisbon as a tourist destination. Writer Nadina Elekse tells of her adventures in the city and its outskirts, and wanted to back up her stories with those of a local artist. I was honored and happy to bring her the native perspective.

Featured in Etchr’s blog
Writer Elsa Wahlstrom, for Etcher Studio’s blog, singled out “6 Urban Sketchers You Need To Follow On Instagram” and I was one of the lucky featured artists. The piece also showcases such talented sketchers as Uma Kelkar and Lynda Gray. My featured work was one of the resulting sketches for a workshop with Etchr Studio.

Riga Sketching School Interview
Masha and Agnese are the great minds behind the Urban Sketchers Riga. I, and many other artists and instructors have witnessed first hand their incredible dedication to spreading the practice of sketching in the Baltic States. Their latest initiative, the Riga Sketching School gathers online workshops, interviews and other activities that you can watch or sign up to. I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Agnese last month, and share how my art has progressed throughout the pandemic of the Covid-19 virus. Urban Sketchers Journals
The all-female media producers EVA are showing the life and work of a few Portuguese Urban Sketchers, in the short Youtube-based webseries Urban Sketchers Journals. Each short episode shows a sketcher in their element, speaking their mind about materials, attitudes and subjects of choice. I had a lot of fun, being filmed and interviewed by the extremely professional crew of camerawomen Paula Soares (also director) and Ana Pinheiro, for the fourth episode in the series. Wedding Sketchers featured in Marketeer magazine
Marketeer is a Portuguese magazine for the marketing sector. They often interview up-and-coming businesses and entrepreneurs. Teresa, António, and I were interviewed for the October issue, as our side project – The Wedding Sketchers – is taking off.

2018 USk Symposium interview in “A Praça”
RTP1 daily morning program “A Praça” went to Porto to find out more about the 9th International Urban Sketchers Symposium. Fernanda Lamelas and I talked a bit about how and why do we do what we do as urban sketchers, during my Public Realm Objects sketching workshop in the Ribeira area.

2018 USk Symposium in the headlines
The 9th International Urban Sketchers Symposium in Porto is making the headlines! Diário de Notícias, a major daily newspaper in Portugal headlined a banner with a report about the event. I was happy to see my sketch of the Ribeira area of downtown Porto in it, alongside a sketch by young and talented fellow sketcher Tomás Reis.
It’s a monumental job to give life to this event, and credit goes to all the volunteers working to make sure everything goes well: the burden is shared by the Symposium team of the Urban Sketchers, the host team – Urban Sketchers Portugal Norte – and the supporting team – the national chapter of the Urban Sketchers.
