I’m an architecture illustrator from Lisbon, Portugal. I began my artistic career as a child by copying my favorite comic book panels. Later I took drawing classes in architecture school and joined the Urban Sketchers community, consolidating my path into the professional art world.

My mediums of choice are waterproof ink and watercolor, which I use to paint places, events, and people to remember. My goal for teaching is for my students to realize how perception changes when seeing the world through sketching, and everyone can learn to draw. I use sketching as a tool of perception and understanding of surroundings, exciting characters, and stories of the everyday.

I teach regular sketching workshops and tell stories in the blog Storysketching and in Urban Sketchers Portugal. I was a regular writer for Drawing Attention, the monthly Urban Sketchers zine. Additionally, I lead The The Wedding Sketchers, an event live sketching project.

Hey! It’s-a me! Pedro!

By sketching, we see the world in a novel way, and each sketch we do is a story that we tell back to the world.
